The Dance Part II

This is what lack of sleep brings
A Dance 2

Dancing true
It means to dance for you
and no one else, except the one
Who gave you the ability to move

The one who gave you life
Who blew the breath in you
The one who daily gives you power
And your strength renews

See if we dance for others
Before we learn to dance true..
Then really who's song are you singing/life are you living?
What song are you dancing to?

When its time to perform
You know that dance
The one we're all preparing to do
Will you be there to perform
Will you be ready to dance true?

I think of all the friends I have
And you know -
They know I'm a dancing fool
But do they know that inside me
I ask myself the question-
"Who/why/what really are you?"

Why are you always dancing?
Why are you always smiling
Why are you always running, (Yes I say it) like a fool?

The answers I come up with
Are usually all the same:

Because dancing keeps me sane
Because smiling keeps me tame
Because running keeps my body in tune..

And running is also a great way
To keep my life course
Close to the one who:
Is the "Chief perfecter of our faith"
who left an example for me and you.
--An example for us to follow his steps closely
Now mostly..

I've pretty much just looked at his steps and said..
"Gee..... those are some beautiful markings..

Whenever he walked
He placed his feet like so..
then whenever Jehovah would will for him
in that direction he'd go..

I mean what a beautiful thing it would be
If such a faith I could possess..
But nevertheless
I cannot stress
Cause DUH!
Obviously stress will not lead to true happiness

Which I also know
Does not come from the comparing
Or from reaching out for some lavish goal or unattainable dream
But it comes from the EFFORTS we make
and from the Undeserved Kindness of our God and his King
So I shall sing, and yes I'll run and yes I'll dance
for the King..
For though my dance will never be like his
Nor my run ever fit his footprints
Nor my smile every brighten the moments
Of as many as his does or even did
I will dance my butt off
Just so I can say with confidence
"I am a Christian"

And When its time to perform
You know that dance
The one we're all preparing to do
Will I be there to perform
Will I be ready to dance true?

Honestly, right now,
I'm probably about as sure as you.
