Lost in Inspiration

Aroused to action
to write,
not knowing what to.
Excited emotions
with no clear direction,
as thoughts run a marathon
With no guidelines to follow

No markings to distinguish
no signs to prevent a straying
Whats the use of signs
When no course is set?

I'm stimulated to a higher level
but unable to find my way
